How God loves us 24/7!

Most believers when they read 1 Corinthians 13 which we commonly refer to as the “Love Chapter” often times feel somewhat condemned or guilty when they compare it to their own walk of faith. They somehow realize they have fallen short of what God expects of them and somewhat hopeless.

I would like you to take a brand new look from a different perspective at this chapter and allow the Holy Spirit to show you something fresh and new that maybe you never saw before, when reading the “Love Chapter”.

First let me point out a few very important facts that one must keep in mind while reading this passage. In 1 John 4:8 it tells us that “God is Love” and we know that 1 Corinthians 13 is a definition of how love works or is expressed. So if God is Love and the Apostle Paul is teaching us how love is expressed and functions, it is fair to say that this is how God who is love is treating us today 24/7.

With that in mind let me help you see a truth that will empower and transform your walk of faith. I am going to tweak this chapter a little to help emphasize the point I hope you will see by replacing the word love with “Your Heavenly Father”.
Read slowly and keep in mind this is how God is treating you now.
Your Heavenly Father endures long and is patient and kind; he never is envious nor boils over with jealousy, he is not boastful or vainglorious, does not display itself haughtily.

Your Heavenly Father is not conceited arrogant and inflated with pride; he is not rude unmannerly and does not act unbecomingly.

Your Heavenly Father does not insist on his own rights or his own way, for Your Heavenly Father is not self-seeking; he is not touchy or fretful or resentful; he takes no account of the evil done to him God pays no attention to a suffered wrong.
Your Heavenly Father does not rejoice at injustice and unrighteousness, but rejoices when right and truth prevail.

Your Heavenly Father bears up under anything and everything that comes, he is ever ready to believe the best of every person, Your Heavenly Father’s hopes are fadeless under all circumstances, and he endures everything without weakening.
Your Heavenly Father never fails never fades out or becomes obsolete or comes to an end.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8 Amplified Bible
When you begin to meditate and embrace this incredible truth of how God loves you, it will help your heart experience the reality of his love, that he has always had for you. Let’s not forget it was shed abroad in your heart when you first believed, it hasn’t left you. Rom 5:5

In 1 John 4:19 it tells us that “we love God because he first loved us” our ability to love God comes from our ability to receive his love first. You cannot give what you do not have and you cannot lead where you have not been.

Fear can modify your behavior but only Love can change your heart.
Copy the above tweaked passage and keep it with you during the day and read it a few times throughout the day to remind yourself this is how God is treating me right now. Watch what happens in your heart in the weeks ahead.
